Greetings Bulls,

Thank you for a terrific start to the 2021-2022 school year. It was wonderful to have our students back in the buidling. Today we issued our HVA and 8th grade student chromebooks and chargers. On Monday, 7th greaders will receive their son 6th graders will receive theirs on Tuesday. I owe a huge THANK YOU to Ms. Alejo, Ms. Maxwell, Ms. Wooden, Ms. Fife, and Mr. Bennett for volunteering their time to get everything ready.

A few things you can do to help:

Please walk your child across the crosswalk before & after school if you are using the Park & Walk Lot
Please pull all the way forward in the car line, even if you don't see another car right behind you...one will be there in a second!
Please do not drop your children off on campus before 7:30 am. Staff members are not present to supervise students outside prior to 7:30 a.m. and we all want to keep our students safe.

Please join us for Bulls & BBQ this Thursday August 12 from 5:00-6:30 p.m. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy performances from our band and choir groups. We will also share PTA news and introduce our teachers and our Fall Sport Athletes. Parents and students will have the chance to walk their schedules, introduce their parents to their teachers, and sign up for conferences. We cannot wait to see you all!

We appreciate our Community Partners for their contributions of financial resources, donations for special events and/or time they commit to our students. We spotlight our Community Partners to thank them for their integral role for all 3 Hampton Cove-area schools.

IT Support: If your child has difficulty with the internet or digital learning platform, please reach out to Ms. Alejo at [email protected] or the HCS IT Department at [email protected] or 256-428-6900.

Chromebook and Chargers: Students need to charge their Chromebooks at home. Please have your child leave their charger at home. Chromebooks can hold a charge for 10-12 hours and chargers are assigned to students by barcodes. Students are accountable for the charger they are assigned and will be charged if the incorrect charger is returned. If a student is charged and his/her charger is turned in by another student, the fee will be reimbursed.

Chromebooks and Chargers will be issued to students on:

· Friday Aug. 6: 8^th grade & HVA students

· Monday Aug. 9: 7^th grade

· Tuesday Aug. 10: 6^th grade

2021-2022 Golf Team Tryouts

Golf Tryouts for this school year are planned for Tuesday 8/17 and Wednesday 8/18 at 4:00 at Hampton Cove Highlands course. Rain date will be 8/19 if I think it’s necessary. We will play 9 holes per day. $20 is due before play each day. A physical is required for participation. These can be found at AHSAA.com. The physical must have player, parent, and doctor’s signature with date. Make sure it is filled out properly. Contact coach Allen Bradshaw at [email protected] with any questions. Tryouts are for new prospects only. Please arrive with at least a basic knowledge of the rules of golf. Also, you must have your own clubs.

2021-2022 Tennis Team Try Outs

HHS tennis tryouts will be Aug 16th-20th at the HHS tennis courts from 3:45-5:00 daily and students must attend every day. It is open to all students 7-12 grade. They must have a current physical in hand on the first day.

Limbaugh Orthodontics - Supporting Huntsville Schools

Dr. Lindsay Limbaugh has pledged $250 to our school for EACH new patient that requests a free consultation at the link below and then begins braces or Invisalign between now and November 15. This is an additional contribution beyond their annual sponsorship.
