Bulldog Spotlight of the Week
Shania Smith
Shania Smith graduated from New Foundations in 2014, as a part of our first senior class. As a first generation college student, Shania has made both her family and the New Foundations Community proud.

In addition to working for Johnson & Johnson, SAP, LinkedIn, and Volta (a company in California that promotes green initiatives), Shania has blazed the way for innovative women like herself to find success in the field of technology. In her current position at Carta, Shania has been able to work from home and witness first hand how her industry has allowed for more acceptance in flexibility in work.

Shania recently spoke to our students and shared her experience with race and gender in a male-dominated field, pointing out that just because she's one of the early ones, doesn't mean she's the only one! In fact, grounded by her service-learning experience with Ms. Tiffany while at New Foundations, Shania still offers support to students from Drexel University and other networks to help them advance their careers in Business.
