Community Activities Highlight:

On Friday, January 08, K-8 Students kicked off a month of service by participating in service projects to express gratitude to essential workers. Students created cards, videos, and even a rap song to thank those working in health care, law enforcement, delivering mail and packages, working in grocery stores, and all other professions that have been so vital to our society over the past year. Additionally, homerooms in Kindergarten, 1st grade, 5th grade, and 7th grade were visited virtually by essential professionals, including a registered nurse, X-Ray technician, and fire lieutenant. The professionals spoke about their jobs and answered questions from their students. Teachers and staff did an amazing job expressing gratitude to the guests. Our 6th graders took part in a writing circle organized by Amanda Allison with a writing specialist in which students explored poetry and praised each other's original work. Check out some highlights below:

Xavier currently works part-time at Best Buy and is being interviewed by Lock Haven University for their Physical Therapy Program. He enjoys helping others, and hopes to one day assist people in their rehabilitation from injuries.
