Flag Etiquette with AFJROTC
A heartfelt salute to our dedicated JROTC cadets and instructors! Their recent visit to our 4th grade left an indelible mark on our young learners.
Witnessing the cadets imparting invaluable lessons on flag etiquette was nothing short of inspiring. These interactions enrich our students' lives and foster a sense of pride that resonates throughout our close-knit community.

We had a spooktacular day at Carl Junction as our K-1, and 2-3 students braved the chilly breeze to haunt the streets in their boo-tiful costumes!
Winter Weather procedures and what you need to know
Winter weather will soon be upon us. When deciding whether to close schools, several factors are considered, including the amount of snowfall, the condition of residential and thoroughfare roads, temperature, and the ability to clear parking lots and sidewalks. We work closely with the weather service, and our team members personally travel the roads before making a final decision.
If school is canceled or the arrival/dismissal time is affected, an announcement will be made through our communication system using phone, text, and email; postings on social media, www.cjr1.org, and our local television stations. To ensure you will receive notification, verify that your parent information is up to date in Parent Portal.

Such an incredible collaboration between Ms. Phelps's Advanced Family and Consumer Sciences class and Ms. Sandvig's 1st-grade class! The Junior High students worked their magic, bringing the imaginative monster drawings to life through hand-sewing skills.
What a beautiful example of creativity, teamwork, and care.

#The CJ Way
In the spring of 2022, a group of CJHS seniors was charged with the task of communicating what it means to be a Bulldog. After surveying staff, students, and community members, these are the words describing what makes Carl Junction Schools a very special place to go to school, work, volunteer, cheer on our teams, and support our students.
Now, you can show your CJ Pride with #TheCJWay gear. Check out our online shop! All proceeds will support student scholarships through the Carl Junction Educational Foundation. The store closes on Nov. 17.
