The first SNS service project of the year will be the annual Peanut Butter & Jelly collection. Every family is asked to donate at least one jar of peanut butter and one jar of jelly during the month of October. The jars will be collected at school and then distributed to the parish’s Wednesday food procurement program and St. Gabe’s Cupboard. Thank you in advance for your generosity!

Afternoon Carline Reminder
Please see the diagram below. Group 1 - go to back of the church and line up. Once that is filled, go to Group 2 - fill up the parking spaces in two rows. Once that is filled, head to Group 3 - the line starts behind the parked cars in Group 2. Once the carline starts, proceed in order of Group 1, Group 2, and Group 3. Please do not jump the line or leave the carline once you have your child - please be patient for the cars in front of you while students are getting in the car. We don't want anyone to get hurt.

Come celebrate Halloween with SNS on Friday, October 22th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM with our Trunk or Treat celebration in the school parking lot. Find your Halloween costume and get your "Trunk" ready for this fun event! The children will Trick or Treat at the cars. Register before Monday, October 18th using this form.

Science Explorers is back this year for Grades 1-5 on Wednesdays after school from 3-4pm. The first session begins 10/6. Spots are limited for each session so register early to reserve your spot in the "lab". Families who sign up for 3 or more clubs in the same order automatically get a 5% discount. Varsity Soccer Report
The Varsity soccer team continued their winning ways with a 4-2 victory over St. Joe's. Goals were scored by John S., Andrew C., and Daniel Z. The JV soccer team also defeated St. Joe's 5-3. Goals were scored by Joe G. and Brendan B. Go Bulldogs!

JV Soccer Report
On Saturday the JV CYO soccer team had another impressive performance defeating SSJ 5-1. Joe G. had 2 goals and Brendan B. had a hat trick with his 3 goals. Another stellar performance by John P. in goal. The defense did a great job holding the team to 1 goal, anchored by Jack W. Let's keep the winning streak going. Go Bulldogs!!

8th grade student Maddie F. and 7th grade student Daniel Z. were selected to become members of the Bishop Shanahan High School Junior Honor Society, inducted on Tuesday 10/5. The students were chosen by their teachers after meeting the criteria established by the national organization, taking into account not only their academic standing, but the five traits of scholarship, service, leadership, character and citizenship. |

Richie Cavallaro '16, has been nominated to the National Society of Leadership and Success at the University of Alabama. Richie's grandmother Helen Locke was the first lay principal of St. Norbert School. Congratulations to Richie and his family on this great achievement. |
