The SNS Community Staying Connected
CONGRATULATIONS to the students who received the St. Marguerite D’Youville award at last Friday morning’s school mass.

St. Marguerite D’Youville was the Foundress of the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart, the founding religious community of St. Norbert School. The award recognizes the qualities of generosity, kindness, faith and a concern for the needs of others.

The St. Marguerite D’Youville Award is awarded twice a year to a student in each grade who exhibits kindness, a spirit of generosity and a willingness to help and serve wherever and whenever needed. These characteristics are demonstrated in all areas of the school community and in his/her relationships with others.

Please return any forms in an envelope marked with your child’s name, grade and what is contained in the envelope. This will allow the paperwork to be processed more quickly.
GREAT VALLEY INCLEMENT WEATHER INFORMATION
Parents of non-public Great Valley students can now go to the Great Valley Web Page www.gvsd.org to see any possible busing changes when there is inclement weather. Parents should look under District Announcements. There will be non-public busing information updates available. When there is inclement weather, this page will be updated by 6:15 AM.
EMERGENCY & SAFETY PLAN
Just a few reminders for inclement weather… While many different school district transportation departments serve our school, please remember SNS follows the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District (#854) for delays or closings.

If SNS is delayed and school district you reside in is open, you school district will not offer delayed transportation to school. Parents are responsible for transporting their children on these mornings. Afternoon transportation will be available at the usual time on these days.

If your school district has a two-hour delay and SNS does not, your student will be accepted as being “on time” when they are able to safely arrive at school.
If SNS closes early there will be no after-school CARES.

SNS will not have staffing at regular AM bell time when the school is on a delayed opening. Please do not send your child to school at the regular time if SNS is delayed or closed. For a two-hour delay, students should not arrive before 9:45 AM. There will be no supervision available before that time.

Please be sure to discuss your family’s plan for an unexpected early dismissal with your child/children. Every student should know the back-up plan for their family should SNS has to close early for inclement weather or other emergency.

CYO TRACK AND FIELD 2021
Philadelphia Archdiocese has provided preliminary approval for spring sports to resume, albeit with some restrictions that are still being reviewed. As a result, the St Norbert CYO Track and Field registration is now open through mid-March.

We are proceeding with the registration process (albeit without a fee commitment) to gauge the level of interest in the program. Please note we remain uncertain of the format for the season, yet are having discussions regarding use of our regular venues and are hopeful we can proceed. At this time, we will plan for a start of the season in early to mid-March, and will provide updates to registrants as we become aware of new developments.

Masks and social distancing will be enforced, as well as additional protocols that will be shared once reviewed and a ‘final’ draft is available. We will incorporate protocols specific to our program, the Region, and the Archdiocese, and endeavor to meet the most current advisories available for our state and community.

We may also plan a Zoom conference call for those interested closer to the end of February to discuss how we may proceed and to answer any questions. Please click HERE to register using your existing account details or set up an account for those who may be new to this platform

Please note: there will be no fees charged upon registration. If prompted, please indicate that you intend to pay by check vs. credit card. Fees will be as follows and will be collected the first week of the season: K to 4th Grade: $30 and 5th to 8th Grade: $80
VILLA MARIA ACADEMY HIGH SCHOOL will be hosting several spring events for interested students and their parents. Please click HERE for more information or to register.
