The SNS Community Staying Connected
|
|
In a year when our teachers have worked so hard to retool instruction for a new schedule and engage students both in-person and on-line, all while juggling Covid protocols, the kind gestures of banners and balloons, sweet treats, and special dinners for their families has been very appreciated by all. Thank you for thinking of the SNS faculty and staff during Teacher Appreciation Week!

St. Norbert Parish will be offering VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL camp from Monday, 6/21 to Friday, 6/25 from 8:45 AM to 12:00 NOON (Mon-Thurs) and 8:45 AM to 1:30 PM (Friday, includes closing Mass and party)
The "A Wilderness Adventure through the Sacraments" Vacation Bible School camp will take campers on an exciting 5-day adventure learning about the seven sacraments. Gear up for a hike through the wilderness to explore amazing things about Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation, Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, Marriage and Holy Orders. This adventure-themed VBS is packed with great music, unforgettable games, cool crafts, and interactive lessons that will motivate kids ages 4 to 11 years old to take a journey of faith with Jesus!
The plan right now is for the VBS camp to be in-person–following all guidelines for social distancing and mask wearing. We will utilize the outdoors for our adventure week as much as possible, depending on the weather.
St. Norbert CaFFE will be running the VBS camp. It is for children ages 4 to 11 years old (Children 12 years and older can serve as helpers). The cost is $50 per child. Space is limited, so please register at your earliest convenience!
Attention Parents...If you volunteer at VBS for the FULL week, your children can attend for 1/2 price. Please contact Mark Griswold, CaFFE Director, at mgriswold@parish.stnorbert.org if you are interested in helping. Please note: all volunteers must have Safe Environment training/clearances BEFORE the camp week.

Favorite SNS memory: Playing card games around the lunch table and at recess in 5th and 6th grade
Looking forward to in high school: Study more complex stuff, hopefully it'll be fun...
Favorite Quote: Soul Eater episode 16, 3:02
Whom I look up to the most: Even though I'm average height, it seems like I need to look up to the majority of my classmates... All jokes aside though, I look up to Carlo Acutis and Brandon Vu. Carlo Acutis is my Confirmation Saint, and I chose him because I thought it was cool that instead of making time for God in the midst of his life, he made time for other things like videogames around God. Brandon Vu is a yo-yoer and YouTuber that's been throwing for a really long time, and I really wish I was as dedicated as he is.
