Wellness Center Collecting Pop Tabs for Ronald McDonald House Charities

The Wellness Center is collecting pop tabs to support Ronald McDonald House Charities until Dec. 31 at the following locations:

  • Wellness Center (first floor of Campus Center)
  • Academic Success Center (third floor of Academic Building)
  • Student Affairs Office (third floor of Campus Center)

Tabs are packed with a high concentration of pure, recyclable aluminum. Revenue from the recycled tabs provides a home away from home for families whose seriously ill children are undergoing medical treatment in a Metro Detroit hospital.

Tabs can be collected from cans of pop, soup, fruits and veggies, and pet food. Be sure to wash the tabs. Between 1,000 and 5,000 tabs make 1 pound of aluminum, which is worth 30 cents to 75 cents.
