2018 Allocation and Waitlist
Grant funds for the 2018 allocation of the DR-HBA Program have been fully allocated. The Program is currently accepting applications for waitlist only.
Steps to Join the Waitlist:
1. Lender Pre-Screen Package:
Lenders should complete and submit the Pre-Screen Package to GSFA for review, as per standard procedures.
2. Waitlist Approval Notification:
Upon successful review of the Pre-Screen Package, GSFA will notify lenders of their approval for the waitlist by providing a Waitlist Commitment.
As unused or additional funds become available, GSFA will notify lenders on a first-come, first-served basis according to the date on the Waitlist Commitment and will issue a Pre-Screen Commitment to proceed with Initial Compliance.
2020 Allocation-Closed
Grant funds for the 2020 allocation for the ReCoverCA HBA (DR-HBA) Program have been fully allocated. Applications for the 2020 allocation are closed.
The DR-HBA program has enabled over 100 low- to moderate-income households to purchase homes outside California's High Fire Zone areas. Many of these families would not have been able to buy a home without the financing assistance provided by the Program.
We are hopeful that additional funding for the Program will be available early next year and will keep our lending partners updated as more information becomes available.
Please note that the funding source for the DR-HBA Program is entirely separate from other GSFA homebuyer assistance programs. GSFA’s other assistance programs remain unaffected by this bulletin.
