Hurricane Dorian Wreaks Havoc

Like many parts of New Brunswick, Plage Hirondelle had a visit from Dorian i n September. Several residents suffered wind and water damage and were without electricity for days. Many trees did not survive and debris littered our beautiful beach area. The area has since been cleaned up.

Meanwhile, there is no word on when the Kouchibouguac River Bridge will be reopened. The bridge, going toward Cap-Pele, suffered immense damage and poses a safety hazard.

Sympathies go out to Ginette Juha and family. Ginette’s father, long time Plage Hirondelle resident Gerard LeBlanc, passed away September 26th at the age of 97.

Condolences to Shirley Splude and family. Shirley lost her mom Sheila Cudmore on June 25th.

The Champions 2019

Cribbage Night hosted by Alcide and Claudia Richard was a success. Congrats to 2019 champions Andre Boudreau and Fred Vautour.

AGM / Assemblée Générale Annuelle

Thanks to everyone who attended the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at the Beaubassin-Est Boardroom in July.

The monthly breakfast will be served on Sunday, November 24th from 8 to 11:30 am at the Grand-Barachois Hall.
