Parish Services Are Still Available!
Our parish staff are still available to assist you during this pandemic situation. Although we had to close the parish office to the public, the phone will be staffed during normal business hours, and staff members are accessible via email. We are working hard from home to serve you. If you are in need of help, or if you are able and willing to help a fellow parishioner in need,
please contact the parish
. Also, don’t forget that the chapel or church will be open for private prayer with the Blessed Sacrament during regular office hours and weekend Mass times. Reconciliation will also continue as scheduled.

Lent During the Pandemic
During the remainder of this unusual Lent, let us remind ourselves that Christ reigns as King of our lives and of all creation. Nothing can change that, including the coronavirus. Let us pray and fast for everyone effected by the pandemic, imploring our Lady’s intercession in our homes and our parish. And let us do what we can to serve our suffering neighbors in union with our suffering Savior. If we persevere together, Christ will transform our crown of thorns into a crown of glory.

Coronavirus Facts
COVID-19 is a new virus that is spreading rapidly and erratically. People who have no travel history have become sick, and those who have travelled have remained well. There is a great deal of misinformation being spread. It is normal to be concerned about something that we cannot see and don’t thoroughly understand but that is causing illness. Click the button below for more information on the coronavirus and what you can do to stay healthy.

Spiritual Care in the Hospital
Both our Holland-area priests and our bishop have released letters that answer
questions regarding the spiritual care of parishioners who are in hospitals, nursing homes, or other institutions during the pandemic.

News from the St. Vincent de Paul Center
The center continues to serve the Holland community weekly with basic food needs and offers reduced-priced, good, used clothing. If you or someone you know needs food or clothing, please pay us a visit on Monday or Wednesday from 3-8 p.m. or Saturday from 12-4 p.m.
We operate totally on donations from our generous parishioners and volunteer hours. The number of families that we support on a monthly basis has grown in the past year to nearly sixty per month. While we need and appreciate all non-perishable and monetary donations, we currently have an increased need for canned beans, fruit cocktail, flour, vegetable oil, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, and individual toothbrushes. If you are able to help, please bring your donations to the St. Francis de Sales parking lot from 9-11 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. If you are interested in volunteering to help at the center, please contact Tom Eggleston at
teggleston@stfrancisholland.org.
God bless!

Where Are You with Your Will?
Your will isn’t just a list of who gets your stuff - it’s a reflection of your life. It reveals who and what matter most to you. Just as people are in different stages of life, they’re also in different stages of will planning. Which stage are you in? See which stage fits you, and what you need to know.
I don’t have a will. Do I really need one?
Definitely. A will is the most important estate planning document an adult can have, no matter your age or income. If you have children or own a property or possessions, you need a will. Don’t let the state in which you reside decide what happens when you’re gone. Having a will saves your loved ones time, money, and heartache.
I’m ready to create my will.
Great! You’ve taken the first step to creating a secure future. Work with an estate planning attorney to compile a list of your assets and whom you want to receive them. Select an executor to implement your will after your passing, as well as name guardians for any children or dependents under your care.
I have a will but want to update it.
Good idea. You can consult with your estate planning attorney about changing your will whenever you want. Some situations that could prompt an update are a new marriage, the birth of a child, the passing of a loved one, self-sufficiency of grown children, changes in tax law, or a desire to make a gift to the Corpus Christi Foundation.
Your will can further our mission.
We would love to talk to you about how a gift in your will can make a meaningful difference to our Lakeshore Catholic community. We thank you for your continued support and prayers!
