Buncombe Street Family and Friends,

We hope and pray that you are remaining safe and secure as we all continue to recover from Hurricane Helene. The level of storm damage in this area was unprecedented and as we navigate this difficult time, we want to look for opportunities to love and support each other. This newsletter contains information regarding the church resources and schedule, and ways that you can help with disaster relief - both locally and in North Carolina.

Please share any of the below information with your neighbors, friends and family members!

Church Building Resources

  • The church building will be open for the remainder of this week from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, for those who need internet, charging stations, showers, and the gym is open for kids to play. We have snacks, coffee, (and friendly faces) so please stop by even if you just want to visit!
  • Need to do laundry? We have a washer and dryer available for use at the church. Please use THIS LINK to sign up for a laundry slot over the next two days.
  • IMPORTANT KAIROS UPDATE: Due to Helene, the upcoming weekend has been postponed. If you have prepared cookies, please freeze them if possible. We will be in touch with new dates and information once we have it.

Church Schedule Information

Wednesday, October 2

We are hosting a Community Night in the church office parking lot on Wednesday, October 2. We will have dinner and fellowship together, and there will be a movie playing in Sisk Hall. The gym will also be open to eat and play, and we have full power and wi-fi for charging needs. There will be a drive-thru option in the church office circle for meals.

PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD! All are welcome.

Sunday, October 6

Please note that we will return to our normal worship schedule on Sunday, October 6. We will have an 8:45 AM Traditional service in the Traditional Sanctuary, and our Table service at 11:00 AM in Sisk Hall. Come as you are and join us as we worship and pray together! Children and Youth Sunday School will be at 10:00 AM, and nursery will be available throughout the morning.
