We have received confirmation that Bunnyfest will be back at Liberty Station on September 24, 2023!
is an outdoor festival with bunny-themed merchandise, games, art socials, children and adult’s crafts and a silent auction. Our plan is to continue on with our popular free Ask A Vet booth, live educational speakers, a special edition Bunnyfest t-shirt and vegetarian food.

Due to the challenges brought on by the Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV) in California, we still have had to remain closed to the public to keep our rabbits and your rabbits safe. By participating in our activities, your support will directly support the bunnies at the SDHRS shelter.

How it Works & How You Can Help
- Each SDHRS bunny below has a wish item that they hope to have for the holidays. The price of the items are listed in their profile. Choose the bunny you would like to give a gift to by clicking the donate button.
- Once you donate the amount that is specified in the bunny profile, we take the bunny off of the wishlist site and we will pull the item off of our shelf and distribute it to the bunnies on December 24, 2022. We will be taking photos and videos on our social media pages.

There are a few more spaces left in our next vaccine clinic on December 10th! SDHRS and Dr. Chelsea Dillon have teamed up to offer a RHDV Vaccine clinic. $80.00 per rabbit (2 dose vaccine) (pre-vaccine exam included). This is a 2 dose vaccine. We will schedule your 2nd dose once you schedule your 1st dose. This is a FUNDRAISER for San Diego House Rabbit Society. All future 2023 vaccine clinic dates are listed in our events calendar on our website at www.sandiegorabbits.org and on our scheduling software. We will be offering a clinic every month.

Adoptions/Bondings will be by appointment only and handled virtually. The application process will still be through our website. Once you fill out your application, you will get further instructions from our Adoption Coordinator about the process. Please click on the button below to visit the rabbits who are available for adoption.

Via Zoom, our class is held every Saturday from 10:30am to 12:00pm. This class covers basic rabbit care tips on handling and living with your rabbit companion.
The fee is $5.00 per registration.

We will continue offering grooming, however, we will be offering CURBSIDE grooming. Please allot 30 min for groom time. You can sign up for grooming appointments here or click on the button below . When you arrive at our facility, please come to the window where you will see a grooming sign. We will then receive your bunny at the window and take them in to groom and then bring them out to you. During this time, we will take your payment. Once your bunny has been groomed, we will call you to pick up your bunny at the window.

Your bunny should be vaccinated for 18 days before you board your bunny with SDHRS. You must show proof of vaccination and vet record before your boarding dates can be confirmed.

We miss seeing our volunteers!!! Due to COVID-19 and RHDV2, we are slowly opening up our on-site volunteer program.

It costs San Diego House Rabbit Society $1.00 a day to care for each bunny. That's $30.00 a month per bunny! You can help us ensure that every bunny in our shelter lives comfortably until they find their forever home - through sponsorship.
For just $30 per month, you can become a monthly supporter top the SDHRS rabbits. Rabbits at SDHRS stay as long as the need is there, receiving plenty of love and companionship until they find loving families of their own. Sponsorships helps bunnies find loving homes, provides food and shelter.
Because our caregivers are very busy providing daily care and enrichment for all of the bunnies in our system, they are not able to provide updates-on-demand for sponsored animals at this time. We will do our best to update our sponsors.
