Burglar for hire: security breaches and the human element

Renowned social engineer and award-winning cyber security expert Jenny Radcliffe will be addressing delegates at this year's Travel Convention. Known as "The People Hacker", Jenny is a professional "burglar for hire" who has spent her career testing the security of organisations by bypassing systems through psychology, persuasion and social engineering.

Jenny will explore how the human side of security can be both a weak point and a strength for organisations. She will discuss how the psychology of businesses, teams and individuals can be exploited by criminals to breach defences and gain access to systems, data, finance and personal information. Through an anecdote-driven, high-energy talk, Jenny will expose our human vulnerabilities and share practical steps individuals and companies can take to better protect themselves.

One of the highlights of the Convention is the chance to experience the destination first-hand, and this year's hosts have created two unforgettable parties that bring the island's culture, hospitality and charm to life.

Hosted by Visit Portugal and the Madeira Promotion Bureau, the Welcome Party will treat delegates to a warm Madeiran welcome, with local food, drinks, music and dance performances set in the beautiful gardens of Restaurante O Terreiro. The following evening, the Host Party at Quinta Magnólia will transport guests to the glamour of the 1920s, with period-inspired décor, classic Madeiran cars, live entertainment and local cuisine. Delegates are invited to embrace the spirit of the era by adding a 1920s-inspired accessory to their attire.

These celebrations will offer an authentic taste of Madeira while creating the shared experiences and connections that make The Travel Convention so valuable.
