The Bad News
...Just as Martha (our GM) was coming back from her vacation, her mother suddenly passed away in her sleep from a heart attack. Also, suffering from her demise were all of my employees, especially the accounting department because they are all family (Juana - Sister, Juana Innes - Sister, Yermi - Cousin). All of my close knit employees pitched in to help Martha's family during these difficult times. So...Please try and give them all a hug during your next visit. Gracias.
The Good News
...I am recovering from my surgery but it is going to be a long road.
Believe it or not...This November 15th we will be celebrating our 16th anniversary! So...I have raided my treasure chest and have my Crew swabbing the decks, painting what doesn't move, and improving all aspects of the hotel so that we can have a Grand Reopening weekend party. Don't miss this! Stay tuned and make your reservation now.
A special thanks to all of you who contacted me regarding my post surgery recovery. My goal is to make it to our Anniversary Party. Thanks again and hope to see you there."

Bikini Contests…#343 – September 1st....
|
A "Bevy of Beauties" (as one of our Pirates coined the phrase) took to the poolside on yet another beautiful Saturday afternoon, to entertain our guests and friends alike. Our 16 bikini clad Shipmates rolled out another great contest, with great dancing and antics that were truly crowd pleasing. The judges table was a mix of newbies and veterans, all 3 of which were very happy that they had requested the honor (actually 2 requested, one we forced). Remember Pirates, you can request being a judge when you make your reservation or when you arrive.
The winners circle was the "Cutie Pie Trifecta" with Ada in first, Maria in second and Anai in third.

We start our weekends off on Thursday here at Blackbeards, with a party night in our Crow's Nest Bar / Disco. Our lovely Shipmates don the same colored outfits and dance and play with our Pirates.

What better way is there, to spend a cool tropical night, than with a few Shipmates in sheer, Wet T-Shirts? The slight chill in the air makes the water seem like icing being applied to a dozen different shaped donuts. Ah, the Shipmates revel in their opportunity, to show a side of themselves to our Pirates that are not normally visible. We will probably have to start a raffle to pick the Pirate to win the honor of wetting our Shipmates down. No more sword fights!!

Ms. Universe #252 – September 8th….
|
Six Shipmates, Six Evening Dresses and Six Lingerie outfits always make for a wild Saturday night Miss Universe Contest and last weekend was no exemption. The Shipmates came to please, and please they did!! Two rounds of competition left our Pirates begging for more (and they got more,,,,after the show) and made it a tough one for our Pirates to decide a winner, but our Pirates remained steadfast and crowned

By the way…All Pirates get to vote for the winner of this contest. Make sure to include a Miss Universe weekend on your next visit.

Babydoll/Lingerie Raffle Night…
|
The Friday night of our Bikini Contest weekend gets our Pirates “Up & Ready” for the rest of the weekend’s activities. If young curvaceous Shipmates, dressed in skimpy lingerie gets you “Up & Ready” for a weekend of debauchery and fun, then by all means put Bikini Contest weekend on your next agenda.

In this event all of our Pirates have the option to buy a raffle ticket for approximately a dollar each; if your number is picked you will receive the special lap dance and get to keep the lingerie. (Sorry…Chica is not included).

It is your ole (well, actually older now) Pirate Dr.(

). I am so very happy that your surgery has been a success, although it sounds like the process was more difficult for everyone (especially you) than had been expected. I continue to think of you and to hope and pray for the very best outcome for you, John. You have been through a lot over these past several years. But your loyal staff, and your many Pirate friends, have always wished for the very, very best for you, John.
I will be making another (short) journey to Blackbeards in November. I wish that I could go more often, and maybe one of these days when I finally "hang up my stethoscope" I will voyage to ye old pirate ship much more often, and longer. John, I think that it must be close to 10 years now that I have been going. But I simply cannot recall a time where I had less than a delightful experience. You built a successful business that brought a lot of enjoyment and relaxation to many people.
Best to you, Sir. Get strong, get well, and get back to the Ship. I know that your Crew misses you, and so do us Old Pirates.
