Happy Lunar New Year!
Hallelujah, it's time for bold action and change!
This past year of the shedding snake (Chinese New Year) has been deeply disturbing and painful for anyone who is paying attention. There has been much for our nervous systems and hearts to process with the current USA administration and it's cruelty, bullying, lying, stealing, breaking laws,
and ignoring our courts and constitution. The continuous trauma
and corruption happening before our eyes is beyond words.
We've had to witness horrors and injustices.
We are having to admit harsh realities.
We are being called to shed illusions.
We are not the country we pretended to be.
Awakening is not easy, but I believe we signed up for this.
And, I sense things are about to change because
Enough is enough!!!
We are each being called out of our comfort zones
to be more courageous, active and vocal.
Brave Minnesotan's led the way this past month...
as they showed up for each other in sub-freezing temperatures.
They demonstrated such incredible devotion to the greater Good!
Illinois Governor JB Pritzker gave a state address on Wednesday,
and he spoke beautifully about the power of Love...
“Love is found in every act of courage—large and small—taken to preserve
the country we once knew. You will find it in homes and schools and
churches and art. It is there; it has not been squashed.”
Pritzker called out the love shown by “the bicyclers who showed up in Little Village every day during Operation Midway Blitz to buy out tamale carts so the vendors could return to the safety of their homes,” “the parishioners who formed human chains around churches so that immigrants could worship,” and “the moms in the school pickup line who whipped out their cameras and their whistles,” and in “the face of every Midwesterner who put on their heaviest coat and protested outside on the coldest day.”
"That love for one’s neighbor, he suggested, is the country’s most
powerful tool against the rise of authoritarianism."
“I am begging my fellow politicians, my fellow Illinoisans, my fellow Americans to realize that right now in this country we are not fighting over policy or political party, We are fighting over whether we are going to be a civilization rooted in empathy and kindness—or one rooted in cruelty and rage.”
“I love my country,” Pritzker said. “I refuse to stop. The hope I have found in a very difficult year is that love is the light that gets you through a long night.”
Yes! This is evidence that the tide is turning. Love is rising and taking it's rightful place.
We still have a long way to go and people are still being harmed.
but this is Big, Bold, Brave, Action-oriented Love.
And, this is what this Fire Horse year is all about! In Chinese Astrology, the Fire Horse happens every 60 years, and it carries
an unstoppable momentum that is purifying, disruptive and transformative.
This will be a year of great courage, confidence,
strength of heart, unbridled energy and passionate creativity.
Spiritual expansion and Awakening opportunities are also on full blast.
We will need to watch out for impulsiveness, upheaval, anxiety,
impatience and potential burnout from going too fast.
This will not be a comfortable or peaceful year,
but it is a pivotal one for moving us forward.
Horses (1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002, 2014, 2026) are known
to be adventurous, enthusiastic, strong, energetic, magnetic, independent, unconventional, stubborn, willful, and they are natural leaders.
Add the Fire element and everything amplifies...
We can burn down what no longer serves,
and Light up the new way forward.
The world needs us standing boldly in our hearts now.
We are being called to shine Light on the darkness, inside and out.
And, to joyfully come together to support one another.
We have literally been dying for this!
It is time for us to return home to Living Love. It's time for us to stand up for Truth and Humanity. It's time for us to Light the world with Loving Kindness.
We came for this now.
In Love and Light,
Teri Jo

PSS I have been super inspired by the Winter Olympians.
Kudos to their sportsmanship, courage, kindness and caring.
I've been reading about Alysa Liu and am so moved by her.
