Serve Your Community and Make a Difference: Join the Cleburne Police Department
The Police Department entry police officer position application deadline is 5pm, Thursday, July 14. The Police Entry Level Exam will be conducted Tuesday, August 2, 2022.

Law enforcement is a service career at its core. If you are looking for more than "just a job" and want to make a real difference in your community every day, consider joining the Cleburne Police Department. We are always looking for great people!

Cleburne police officers work in partnership with our citizens to promote safe streets and neighborhoods, create a community free from the fear of crime, and improve the overall quality of life. This is accomplished by enforcing state laws and municipal ordinances, investigating criminal offenses, providing community outreach, preparing and presenting criminal cases, assisting with accidents, responding to disturbance calls, and participating in specialized investigations.

Water and Wastewater Career Opportunities
Do you want to be part of a team built to serve the community while having control over your own career? The Utility system is an essential function of the City and delivery of high quality water and conveyance of sewage are of the upmost importance. The City has recently adopted a new pay and promotion structure for all Utility Staff that allows for career growth within the City and gives you the ability to control your career progression. This means you don’t have to wait for a position to become vacant, if you get a license, you get a promotion and pay increase.

We currently have Maintenance Worker, Crewleader, Assistant Supervisor, Supervisor positions available where you can begin and/or continue your career.

Streets and Drainage
The street network is one of the largest assets of the City. The Street Maintenance Program provides the city with an effective way to re-invest and maintain our roadways. Join a team that utilizes multiple techniques to maintain the street network, including street reconstruction and reclamation, mill and overlays, asphalt overlays, micro-surfacing, fog sealing, base repairs and crack sealing.

To accomplish our goals we have maintenance worker and heavy equipment operator opportunities.
