The Buzz at Burr!

I think the Veteran's Day celebration at Burr is one of my favorite traditions we have. Such a great way to honor our family members who dedicated themselves to our country.

Thank you to Kristie Delaney and Molly King for organizing such a warm welcome for our Veterans and Mrs. Maravich for providing such wonderful music accompanment. And most of all, a big thank you to all the Veterans in the Burr family community (those that were able to attend and those that weren't) for your service to our country!

World Kindness Day -- November 13 -- Wear BLUE for World Kindness Day! By wearing any BLUE you will be using your voice to stand in solidarity and say “Kindness Matters” and that uplifting and encouraging others is a win-win for the giver and receiver of kindness. When we each choose love, acceptance, & non-judgement toward ourselves and others, we experience true connection and bring our entire community closer together.

Burr Book Swap -- November 14th -- Stop by the Book Swap in the Science Room after pick up on Wednesday. It is a great way to update your home libraries. Still have books donate? It isn't too late to drop off. Rebecca Press will be on hand at pick up on Tuesday to collect books. Please see the flyer for some FAQ's! To volunteer contact Rebecca Press.

After the Bell -- Flex Academies is offering a Fall Interim session of ATB. From Soccer with Mr. Fetcher to holiday baking. Classes run November 28th through December 20th. Click here for more information and to register.

Picture Retake Day -- November 16th  -- If you missed picture day or would like a retake photo please save your photo package and give it to your child to bring into school on retake day (please keep your class photo).
