The readings this weekend urge us to live a life of mercy in order to be holy so we can be saints someday. A saint is one who sees the beatific vision. That vision needs to start on earth in how we treat those around us who are temples of the Holy Spirit, the same Holy Spirit with whom we want to spend eternity. In the second reading St. Paul reminds us that we are temples of the Holy Spirit. This means that even those who we disagree with still bear the image of God. They should be treated accordingly.

As Jesus said: “Could you not keep watch with me for one hour? ” It is a time to quiet our busy lives, sacrifice, pray and
grow closer to Jesus. Please consider, as your Lenten promise, spending one hour with Jesus in Adoration.
What do I do for an hour you ask? Pray, read the Bible, tell Jesus all
your worries, tell Him all your desires, ask for His healing for others and yourself,
ask for His help in all your plans, ask His forgiveness for your sins, give Him your
thanks and praise, listen for His voice or just be. Be in His Presence and feel His
love for you.
It is important that we have at least one person at Adoration at all times. A schedule will be posted at both entrances of the Church.

A parishioner who attended "Jesus Takeover" last May was deeply moved by the event:
"The Jesus Take Over Adoration rattled my soul, from the music to the lyrics of the songs to the meditations by Father David! But most importantly, the experience of these feelings with Jesus right with us, singing, swaying, crying, joyful, sorrowful, peaceful was amazing!
You have to go and experience it for yourself!"
