BUSHTOPS CAMPS - AGENT UPDATE

Dear partners,

We all know how difficult it's been to discern any light at the end of the tunnel, but light is indeed beginning to shine. We do hope you too are seeing glimmers of better times ahead.

We're open for business: At Bushtops, we managed to reopen our Camps between August and December last year, hosting the lucky/brave guests who were able to travel. Business was of course reduced to our lowest-ever levels but every visitor kept us going and lifted the team's spirits in so many ways.

2022 RATES

FLEXIBLE & SAFE

The key to short term recovery will be flexibility over re-bookings and rigorous Covid safety protocols. I have included updates on the latter below, to reassure you and potential travelers that we are doing all in our power to make Bushtops a safe (as well as exciting) escape from today's harsh realities. We are doing everything we can to adhere by the safety protocols laid down by the World Travel & Tourism council.

PCR COVID-19 TESTING CAPABILITIES

Alongside protocols already in place, we now facilitate PCR Covid testing as an option for guests seeking reassurance or needing certification to return home.

At Mara Bushtops, lab technicians conduct PCR testing in the privacy of guest suites, on any day bar Sunday. Pre booking is essential and should be done with us. Test results are available within 48 hours and certification includes a TT code. Approximate cost USD $195 per person. PCR Covid testing is also available at Safarilink/Wilson airport with results available within 24 hours. The cost is approx. USD $85 per person and results are available within 24 hours. Supplement of USD $30 for results within 12 hours.

In the Serengeti, Roving Bushtops will be based at Seronera from 1st of June 2021, where testing can be done on any day bar Sunday at the Seronera Dispensary from 8 am to 1 pm or for an additional fee in the privacy of your tent suite in Camp in the afternoons. Pre booking with us is vital. The cost is USD $120 per person at the Seronera Dispensary and USD $150 per person if done at Roving Bushtops. When Roving Bushtops relocates to Kusini in December 2021, testing will continue to be available on request. Extra transport charges will apply.

We are lobbying to install a satellite testing station at Kogatende by June, serving our guests at Serengeti Bushtops. We will keep you updated on progress. In the meantime, our recommendation for anyone needing a test is to combine their stay with Roving Bushtops, taking advantage of the testing amenities whilst enjoying the change of location and scene. We have also received assurance from Coastal aviation that should the need arise, they will introduce a special service from Kogatende to Seronera and back for guests to get tested. The short, scenic flight takes just 20 minutes each way.
