Consumers Energy Expanding Electric Line Workforce
Consumers Energy is adding jobs in Michigan, hiring qualified workers to increase its workforce that responds to emergencies, enhances system reliability and restores electric service following storms.

Consumers Energy plans to hire 50 journeyman line workers by the end of 2016. Candidates must have a current Journeyman Line Worker Card to be considered for the journeyman electric line worker positions. To apply, visit www.ConsumersEnergy.com/careers  
Economic Gardening is Back

The Edward Lowe Foundation administered program is back and will be available after October 1 to provide second-stage companies with research assistance in the areas of core business strategies, strategic market research, geographic information systems, and internet presence. 

The program takes 6-8 weeks and requires a 8-10 hour commitment by the company CEO.  The entire cost of the program is covered by the MEDC. Companies can register here.
