The agency provides, operates, and assures command and control and information-sharing capabilities and a globally accessible enterprise information infrastructure in direct support to joint warfighters, national level leaders, and other mission and coalition partners across the full spectrum of military operations.

The DISA Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP) is fully committed to providing small businesses with maximum opportunities as small business innovation is essential in helping the agency provide support to warfighters and national-level leaders. In fiscal year 2017, DISA awarded $1.7 billion in prime contracts to small businesses. These 6,522 contract actions represented 28.2 percent of all contracts awarded by the agency.

Howard County Chamber set to take Inaugural Intercity Visit
The Howard County Chamber is planning to embark upon an Intercity Leadership Visit in 2019.
In spearheading an intercity visit, the Howard County Chamber will take approximately 20-30 business and civic leaders alongside County Executive Calvin Ball and elected and appointed officials to Somerset County, New Jersey.
The dates will be September 15-17.
You will learn and study best practices in economic and community development, flood mitigation, and environmental stewardship.

Edwards Performance Solutions Headquarters is moving to Downtown Columbia! The company is relocating from other part of Howard County into the District, which is located adjacent to the concert venue Merriweather Post Pavilion.

Offit Kurman Affiliates with Horack Talley in Charlotte, NC, Leading Expansion into The Southeast
Offit Kurman is strategically expanding into the Southeast by affiliating with one of Charlotte’s oldest and most respected law firms. Starting September 1, 2019 the attorneys and staff of Horack Talley will be joining Offit Kurman.
Fifty-one employees of Horack Talley, including 27 lawyers, will become Offit Kurman’s Charlotte office through the affiliation. The team will remain in their current office location at 301 South College Street. The group’s move to become part of Offit Kurman will create a number of new jobs for the local community.
Howard County Council member Opel Jones Successfully Defends Dissertation
The Howard County Chamber proudly joins Howard County Executive Dr. Calvin Ball, the Howard County Council, and other community members in congratulating District 2 Council-member Dr. Opel Jones on his recent earning of his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Howard University. Dr. Jones is currently an Instructor of Mathematics and Statistics at American University. He holds a B.S. in mathematics from Hampton University, and a M.S. in mathematics from Howard University.
