A Business Conversation on Economic Infrastructure
Reliable childcare directly affects a businessβs ability to hire and retain employees. This Eggs and Issues program will examine childcare as essential economic infrastructure in Dunn County, using local data and real world examples to illustrate its impact on workforce recruitment and retention. The session brings together topic experts from UW Extension, local childcare providers, program facilitators, and statewide association leadership. The event will take place April 2, 2026 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the University of Wisconsin Stout Ballrooms, 302 10th Avenue East Upper Level, Menomonie.
The discussion will move beyond awareness to focus on practical, employer driven solutions and financial incentives available through Wisconsin Act 78. Attendees will explore employer supported childcare models, understand the legal and economic context surrounding childcare access, and learn realistic steps businesses can take to support long term workforce stability.
π Register today to join the April Eggs and Issues discussion.
