Gain an understanding of the accounting equations, debits and credits, record keeping, bank reconciliation, maintaining a general ledger, using a columnar journal and preparing simple financial statements. This course is valuable to small business owners and non-profit groups as well as for those needing to upgrade job skills. 

This course introduces the latest version of Microsoft Excel, one of several widely used electronic spreadsheet and graphing applications. Participants will learn the basics of creating and navigating spreadsheets, how to apply formatting, auto formatting, editing, copying and moving, inserting rows/columns, simple formulas, data entry, charting and printing. In this 12-hour course we will also look at absolute and relative addressing, one of the many features of this amazing program

This course will introduce participants to the fundamentals needed to be a member on the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee in their organization and meets WorkSafeBC's new mandatory training requirements as referred to in British Columbia Occupational Health & Safety Regulation (OHSR) 3.27 Minimum training requirements for new joint committee members.


Join representatives from the CV Chamber of Commerce, Business Development Bank of Canada, and CV Economic Development and learn about local small business resources that are available to support your business startup. This is a great opportunity to bring your questions and get to know more about your local businesses resources.

Exciting Investment in New Zipline

Congrats to Pacific Group and Mount Washington Alpine Resort for the exciting investment and recent opening of their Hawk Excursion Zipline (half tour).
This new Zipline marks one of the most significant new tourism attractions on Vancouver Island. The Full Zip Tour will include four spans, each with two cables side by side. The total length will be 2,313 meters (7,589 feet) long and will drop a total of 415 metres (1,364 vertical feet). For more information - click here .

CANEXPORT got more money!

As of August 22, 2019, the CanExport for SMEs project funding limit will increase up to $75,000 to cover up to 75% of eligible expenses. The program has also been expanded to include supporting companies from Canada’s agriculture, agri-food and agri-products industry, including fish and seafood.
