VIREBStrong Sales Kick Off the Spring Housing Market 

In March 2014, Comox Valley Single Family Home benchmark prices rose 1% from February 2015 and 1% from March 2014. Vancouver Island Region prices saw a 1.6% jump since the previous month and a 3.2% rise since last year. 420 single-family homes sold last month in the region compared to 282 in February 2015 and year-over-year sales up 19 per cent. 

 

"It's been some time since we've seen these sort of numbers so early in the year in British Columbia," said Cameron Muir, BCREA'S chief economist. "Sales levels are healthy, and we're expecting an excellent year overall for real estate.
