About Junior Achievement
8,000 + young people at nearly 50 schools and organizations benefit from Junior Achievement of Brazoria County programs each year, with help from more than 300 dedicated volunteers. JA programs change lives by giving young people the tools to thrive and teaching three crucial lessons: personal financial responsibility, workforce readiness and entrepreneurial thinking. JA empowers young people to own their economic success. This mission is accomplished through volunteers who take the time to teach JA, provide role model behavior and establish a mentoring relationship with students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. Junior Achievement of Brazoria County serves all school districts in the county as well as private schools, after school and in school groups and organizations.

Online Tool For Teens, Educators & Parents

JA, with the support of The Hartford, has launched  JA MyBiz Builder. It's a free online tool for teens, educators and parents.
With hands-on activities, this free tool allows teens to create and test a business plan.

Business leaders claim that the generation of students entering the workplace lacks many critical "soft" skills like problem solving and critical thinking, abilities that contribute to an individual's and an organization's success. Details here

Let Junior Achievement provide FREE financial literacy, entrepreneurship and work readiness programs for your students.

(All materials and training are provided.)
We find the volunteers, train them, provide the games and curriculum.  You and volunteer work out the dates and times that work best for your classroom and watch as your students grasp those concepts in a fun, hands on kind of way.

Volunteering 5-6 hours with Junior Achievement allows children to learn financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work readiness skills from a caring adult like you!

We are getting teacher requests in daily seeking volunteers to facilitate the JA programs in their classrooms. You pick the dates and times that work best for you and we will find you a class close to work or home.
