Exporting for Growth in Yorkshire 
The Exporting for Growth  programme is aimed at SME companies wanting to develop their international business or get started with international trade. 

In addition to funding, companies will receive impartial and tailored advice from an International Trade Adviser. The range of eligible activities include:

* Overseas trade events entry and
exhibition costs

* Design and production of international
marketing material

* International market research and
consultancy services

A partnership with the Department for International Trade, Exporting for Growth is for first time and experienced exporters.

Council Budget 2020-2021 
Harrogate Borough Council is encouraging businesses, and residents, to have their say on the services that are important to them. 

An online survey will contribute to development of the council's 2020-2021 budget. Responses are requested by 8 October.

Plans and priorities -  Local Industrial Strategy 
Share your Views
The Local Industrial Strategy (LIS) is an ambitious plan  for much  of the Yorkshire region that aims to help  businesses grow and increase  productivity , while protecting 
the environment and promoting better quality jobs.

The two Local Enterprise Partnerships covering North and West Yorkshire are working together to gather evidence as they each prepare a Local Industrial Strategy.  A  video update from the Leeds City Region  is available alongside a Your Voice survey (open until 16 August).  

News from the York North Yorkshire and East Riding LIS work is available here, including an invite to join the Business Engagement Forum (applications by 2 August).

Businesses will have an opportunity to comment on the contents of each LIS in autumn. The strategy is expected to be submitted to Government by the end of the year, with the final strategy to be published in early 2020.

The national IP for Business  online tools  have had a revamp! The tools are designed to help create value from ideas, turning inspiration into sustainable business success.

T he IP Equip e-learning tool helps businesses and business advisors understand intellectual property rights. The four short modules and case studies show why intellectual property is important.  

The IP Health Check tool covers patents, trade marks, designs and copyright, as well as advice on licensing intellectual property and managing confidential information. 
   
Your opinion matters to Grow Yorkshire
Grow Yorkshire  support service seeks to help grow the incomes of farming and food businesses as they adapt to this time of change. 

To do this the Grow Yorkshire team need to know how the industry is dealing with change and what issues it is facing, so it can work with partners to ensure that the right help is available.
