SHORT-TERM EMPLOYMENT FORECAST SURVEY
The Alberta Short-Term Employment Forecast (STEF), developed annually by the Government of Alberta since 2011, serves as an important forecast tool, offering comprehensive insights into the demand prospects for all occupations in the province over the next three years. In the Alberta Government's commitment to enhancing the accuracy and relevance of this valuable resource, they are embarking on a crucial validation project, and your participation is vital to its success.
By engaging stakeholders like you, the Alberta Government aims to ensure that the STEF results for 2023-2025 accurately capture the unique labour market conditions in your region. Your valuable feedback from the survey will be used to fine-tune the STEF results, providing precise information at the occupational level. This, in turn, will play a pivotal role in shaping future policies and programs of the government and supporting industries in their strategic workforce planning. By validating the STEF forecast, employers will have access to more accurate regional labour market information to assist them in both short and long-term workforce planning. Accurate labour market information can also assist employers in addressing workforce needs such as attracting, recruiting and retaining workers.
All responses to the survey are confidential and securely stored.
