Evaluations for Alzheimer's and Other Cognitive Disorders Performed at UC Davis ADRC in Shadelands

In the February 2025 issue of The Shadelands Scene, we introduced you to the Shadelands UC Davis Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) and the work the researchers and clinicians do to understand, slow, and find a cure for Alzheimer’s Disease.There is a second component to UC Davis ADRC, and that is the work of clinical neuropsychologist Johanna Rengifo, PhD, who performs neuropsychological evaluations on individuals who come to the clinic with specific cognitive concerns, helping them understand their symptoms and next steps.

Springfield Montessori Opens Enrollment for 2025-2026 School Year

On Mitchell Drive in Shadelands, set safely back a ways from the street, stands Springfield Montessori School Walnut Creek. “Arts education enriches the lives of children, teens, adults, and seniors in countless ways — in every stage of life,” said Lisa Crossett, co-president of the Walnut Creek Community Arts Foundation Board of Directors. With Arts for All as its motto and mission, the Community Arts Foundation raises funds to provide county-wide scholarships and access to arts education to people in need through the City’s Center for Community Arts.
