2022 - The Year of a Florida Data Privacy Law?

Beginning of January 2022, Senator Bradley introduced the Florida Privacy Protection Act (FPPA) since the one she sponsored last year. Representative McFarland introduced the Consumer Data Privacy bill about a week later.

Although the Florida legislative session has come and gone, Florida should expect a comprehensive data privacy law sooner than later following the steps of California, Colorado and Virginia with full privacy regulations.
