The Civil Rules Task Force is reviewing the report of the Florida Supreme Court Working Group for the Improved Resolution of Civil Cases, which contains significant proposed changes to the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure.  The Task Force is seeking comments from the section’s members and substantive committees concerning the proposed amendments.  The Task Force is requesting any comments be submitted as soon as possible, but no later the October 31, 2021. Also, if you are interested in joining the Task Force, please contact Russell Landy (rlandy@dvllp.com).

The members of Business Law Section study group on Florida Exemptions have been researching how the Florida exemptions compare to other states' exemptions, and whether the Florida exemption statutes should be updated and changed.
