The BLS Communications Committee is excited to introduce “Better Know a Judge,” a new video interview series featuring some of Florida’s recently appointed Judges. In this series, we’ll introduce you to the people behind the bench. How did they get there? Where did they come from? And what’s the last concert they attended? Tune in to find out!

In the first installment of our Better Know a Judge series, host Christopher Thompson sits down (virtually) with The Honorable Grace Robson, a Bankruptcy Judge for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division. Judge Robson was appointed to the bench on November 3, 2021. As you’ll hear, Judge Robson had a very well-rounded career as a bankruptcy attorney practicing in and around Miami before her appointment. Judge Robson also gives us some insight into her off-the-bench life and interests. Don’t miss it!

During the past few months, the IMF Committee and the Diversity Policy Study Group have met to vet and further revise the June 2021 Proposed Revised CLE Diversity Policy. In April, the ABA adopted a new Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion CLE Policy, which The Florida Bar has reviewed and determined appears to comply with Rule 6-10.3(d) of the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar. The IMF Committee has finalized and approved a revised Business Law Section Diversity Equity and Inclusion CLE Policy, which is based on the revised ABA policy. IMF will be presenting the revised Diversity Equity and Inclusion CLE Policy for a vote by the Executive Council at the upcoming Annual Meeting.
