The Communications Committee worked last year on creating a new, updated website for the Section, which was unveiled in January at the Midyear Meeting! Our new website features the information you are looking for, in an easily accessible format. Check out the Member Portal and Membership Directory where you can add your business card, join a committee, and add your areas of expertise. And let the Committee know if you have any requests for tweaks or adds!
Now Accepting Applications for the BLS Fellows Program.

The Section has a long-standing commitment to the recruitment of young and diverse lawyers to join, participate and ultimately serve in leadership positions of the Section. To facilitate these goals, the Section has created a Fellowship Program to provide a two-year subsidy to eight qualified applicants who express an interest in becoming active in the substantive work and leadership of the Section. Click on the photo below for more information - the deadline is March 26, 2021.

Racism in the workplace has impacted people of color for many years. It still exists despite laws such as Title VII of the Civil Rights Act which prohibits employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex and national origin. The time has come to offer solutions that can remedy the consequences of racism and discrimination. This CLE will discuss how businesses must be held accountable in setting specific goals to fight racism and highlight some measures to take to prevent, eliminate and remedy its impact.
Get a greater understanding of the potential leadership roles within the Business Law Section, how to get involved in bar leadership, and the benefits of serving within those roles. Free! Speakers include current chair Leyza Blanco as well as past chairs Judge Mindy Mora and Gregory Yadley.
