We look forward to seeing many of you at the Business Law Section Winter Meeting January 17-18 at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld. As a reminder, if you are a chair of a committee, subcommittee or task force and your group will be meeting virtually prior to this meeting, please let us know so that we do not reserve a meeting room for you on-site. Please also look for the registration link for the BLS Executive Council Retreat to Edinburgh, which will come out this week or next. The main trip is April 3-7 in Edinburgh followed by a trip in the Scottish Highlands, April 8-12. All members are welcomed.

Leadership Academy

The Florida Bar’s The Wm. Reece Smith, Jr. Leadership Academy has opened its application period for Class XII. The deadline to apply is before 5:00 p.m. on January 15, 2024. The Leadership Academy is a multi-session training program designed to help a diverse and inclusive group of lawyers become better leaders. Each year a select group of participants are selected from applications submitted to The Florida Bar to become Academy Fellows. For more information, please visit this link.
