The Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce, Identity Clark County, and the Columbia River Economic Development Council will present our Shared Legislative Priorities for the new year at the 2019 Legislative Outlook Breakfast sponsored by IBEW 48. The Priorities fall in the areas of Infrastructure, Environment, Workforce & Education and Economic Development. Be a part of the discussion as we forecast important issues on December 14th at Warehouse ’23. This is a unique opportunity to meet with our local legislators . Time allowing we’ll have an opportunity for you to ask questions of the legislators regarding the business needs going into their session in January.

A Week In Review:
Congratulations to our Small Business Saturday Grant Program Winners!

Throughout the month of November, our members went on a posting spree for their favorite member businesses around the community using the hashtag #GVCCGrant2018. With help from our sponsor, Columbia Credit Union , we were able to select through the most powerful and heartfelt posts from our community. The results spoke for themselves. Congratulations to our three winners, of $2,000 each, Rocksolid Community Teen Center , NW Escape Experience , and Metropolitan Performing Arts .
Happy Holidays from Battle Ground!

This year, we worked together with Battle Ground to put on their ever-popular Battle Ground Holiday Luncheon & Basket Raffle. So many baskets, amazing food from our member Killa Bites, and the crowd was filled with familiar faces. Click the picture above to see more snapshots from the event .
Our Chamber Ambassador Holiday Heroes Luncheon was an absolute hit!

Thank you so much to everyone who attended, putting the spotlight on our incredible ambassador team, and thank you to our wonderful basket donors. With over 45 baskets, so many attendees were able to walk home with some amazing holiday treats. This year, we celebrated the entire Ambassador team as well as our community partners Innovative Services NW for all the incredible work they do for the youth in our community. In addition, we announced our 2018 Rookie of the Year, Joey Yourchek , and our 2018 Ambassador of the Year, Beth Anderson . The Future Is STEM: The GVCC and nConnect , along with our sponsors HAPO Community Credit Union and Chick-fil-A brought students from Hockinson High School and Jason Lee Middle School onsite to HAPO Community Credit Union for a unique opportunity to explore careers in the financial industry. From mortgages, to CD's, to financial health, these students learned the opportunities available for them in this STEM field. Before breaking out into small networking groups, Ronnie Noize of the DIY Marketing Center dropped by to teach them the importance of a great first impression.
