Message from President
 Bonnie Chapman

Greetings Soroptimists!

What do you get when you cross an elephant and a rhino?
Elephino ! El- eph - i -no for the more literal minded ;)
We have another fun and busy week ahead with our Business Meeting on Wednesday (several new members getting inducted!) and SUDS at Kathy Erickson's house for our favorite out of town SI Chico member, Marilyn Ey .
Thanks to all of you who helped with the first session of this year's Dress a Girl. We had a fun and productive evening of camaraderie and sewing!
Thanks to you all for continuing to promote Hilarity for Charity. It will be hilarious
It's another great week to be a Soroptimist!

With Gratitude,
Soroptimist International of Chico

Revision is Complete

  • The Board approved the Draft Bylaws at the March 19, 2019 meeting.
  • Approving the new version will be an introduction item at the April 3 Business Meeting.
  • The membership has a month to review the changes for a vote at the May 1 Business Meeting.
The complete document and an overview of the changes that were made are attached for your reading pleasure to cast an informed vote in May.

Our Member of the Month for April is Sara Beacham

I am a Chico local, born and raised. I have left Chico on several occasions but there's something in the water that keeps bringing me back. I joined Soroptimist originally in 2005 and left in 2011. I rejoined in 2018. In case you didn't know, Joan Stoner is my mom.

Most days you can find me in my gym. I own and operate a small strength and conditioning gym. My client schedule keeps me busy, and I genuinely love being in the gym. Whether I am working with clients, running a class, building workouts or rearranging equipment, the gym is truly my happy place. If I am not in the gym, you can find me hanging at home or out walking my dogs. (They insist!) This is my other happy place - hanging with my hubby (Nick) and my fur babies (Lotus and Carhartt). Ahhh, love!

I love helping people accomplish their goals, whether in fitness and health or in life and business. I love the look on a person's face when they celebrate their victories that I had a part in helping them achieve.

In my "spare" time, I like to run, watch uplifting shows, and conquer a jigsaw puzzle. I am a podcast and Audible junkie, and eternally looking to learn.
 President-Elect Resumes and Ballot

It is that time again to vote for the SIA  President-Elect.  Our Delegates have viewed their resumes and have voted for the one that they believe will be the best one in the following order:

1) Ohran Choe
2) Bonnie Dominchuk
3) Penny Babb
4) Margo Hartman
