The Newbies Night Out will be in honor of all new members (and their sponsors) that have joined from 2016/2017, 2017/2018, 2018/2019 Club years. All Soroptimist members are welcome to attend. This will be an evening of fun and friendship with the opportunity for new and old members to connect. More information to come!

Greetings Soroptimists!

Why is Peter Pan Always Flying?

He Neverlands!

I'm so excited that our year is really starting! I can feel the positive energy from our membership and know we will have a great year. This week brings us our first Business Meeting. Our seating arrangement will be different this year.  . 

Business meeting will have a head table and 8 rounds...open seating. With our new configuration of 6 committees, we couldn't fit the square tables. Meeting number 2 will be set the same with head table and 8 rounds with open seating. Many members shared that they felt the head table was important so members knew who our board members were, so we will sit up front twice per month. Meeting three will be podium up front with 8 rounds and we will bring back the color chips...sit based on random draw of a color chip to encourage all of us to mix and mingle. I think this is a nice mix of all the best arrangements and hope you agree. 

 We will welcome Natalie to the lunch lady table where she will join seasoned veteran Kathy. Lunch will remain $16 and the facility fee $7. We will all celebrate the return of the full salad bar at all luncheons.

Our Corresponding Secretary isn't able to fulfill her duties, with that said, we are in need of a new Corresponding Secretary. 

The Corresponding Secretary duties are:
  • collect and distribute mail 
  • check e-mail and forward appropriately 
  • handle all official club correspondence properly that are not the responsibility of other officers or committee coordinators
  • Keep a chronological log of all correspondence

On our password protected Members Only page is where you will find our Roster, Handbook, Master Motion form, Region & Federation Forms, and other useful links.  The password is the year SI Chico was chartered.

The roster is in a PDF format and can be downloaded to your computer. It is alphabetized by first names. If you are looking for a particular member and don't want to scroll through 22 pages simply open it up in your Adobe Acrobat Reader, click Ctrl+F and a search box will pop up, then type the members name you are looking for.
