The Girls on the Run Celebration 5K is THIS Saturday, May 4 at Butte College. We are invited to volunteer (serving as a course monitor) and/or attend and cheer those girls on to the finish. It will be an extra big group since the fall 5K was cancelled due to the Camp Fire. All Fall participants are invited to run in this upcoming Spring race. If you would like to join in on the fun, arrive by 8:15 and finish by 10:30. Wear your Soroptimist shirt. Park in lots 1 or 3 and walk to the library/campus center quad area to the volunteer check-in table. Just let Bonnie know if you're planning to help. Thank-you all!

Message from President
Bonnie Chapman (aka Bride of Frankenstein)

Greetings Soroptimists!

My friends says to me "What rhymes with orange?"

I said "no it doesn't"

What a great time we all had at conference. If you are on the group Facebook page, you saw a sampling of the photos serving as proof! We heard inspiring speeches, got acknowledged for the good work of our club (we will share all that good news in person!) drank coffee and cocktails, met Sorptimists from all around Northern California and Nevada and bonded as  a group. Oh...and we had some WINNERS from our club individually, in the form of several awesome baskets, our newbie Brandie Pruis won best Investigator for the murder mystery party on Friday and yours truly won Best Costume...you know, as the Bride of Frankenstein!!

A full report will be given by myself and the delegates on Wednesday at the Business Meeting.

It's another great week to be a Soroptimist!

With Gratitude,
