Halloween Downtown 2020
After lengthy discussion with Santa Cruz PD, and our colleagues with the City of Santa Cruz, it is clear that we will not be able to support and promote the annual Trick or Treat event Downtown this year. It is considered a high risk activity.

We will, however, encourage people to come Downtown on Halloween to dine and shop, as well as buy their Halloween costumes at one of our great Downtown shops. If you have Halloween specials of promotions, please let us know so we can help get the word out. Email marketing@downtownsantacruz.com.

Santa Cruz PD will not be closing the streets or bringing in lighting this year. They will, however, be increasing foot patrol and issuing citations for any "safety enhancement zone" violations.

We are hopeful that next year will be back in full swing, seeing all those creative costumes and celebrating Halloween with our Santa Cruz Community here Downtown.

Association of Women Entrepreneurs (AWE)- New Website!
AWE  is getting a new website! The creation of the site will be focused initially on the women-owned businesses. If this is you, please fill out the info on the form linked here to help web designers get going on the project.

In Stock Partners with Downtown to Encourage Local Sales
Now more than ever it so important that we make it as easy as possible for locals to shop right here in their neighborhoods, rather than with large online retailers.

Local entrepreneur, Ian McHenry, created InStocka website to help people find what they are looking for close to home.

Ian has created a landing page specific to Downtown Santa Cruz and we are asking that ALL of our Downtown retailers sign up by sharing their current inventory with In Stock. The more that participate, the more impact it will have.

They have made it very easy for us. Just click here to start the process.

We are hoping to get as many of our retailers up as possible by October 5th.

Also, check out their new Chrome extension. It pops up when you are on Amazon to tell you where you can find that same product locally.
