Petawawa Food Basics Grand Opening

Food Basics officially opens the doors of its newest location as part of the Petawawa community. The modern, 32,000+ square foot site, located at 3018 Petawawa Blvd. will be the discount banner’s 145th store. The contemporary retail space Food Basics will feature impressive images on the side of the store from the Garrison Petawawa Military Museum and employ a team of 95. In the new store, customers will be able to shop for high-quality, budget friendly Irresistibles and Selection products at the new store which will also include fresh BBQ chickens, locally sourced products, fresh meat and produce.

To further strengthen its commitment to the community, Food Basics is donating to a few community organizations. The retailer is giving $5,000 to the Petawawa Pantry Food Bank who is newly affiliated with Feed Ontario – a long-time partner, notably through METRO’s food recovery program One More Bite – a program the store will support. As a thank you for their collaboration in leading up to the grand opening, Food Basics is also donating $2,000 to The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #517 and $1,000 to the Garrison Petawawa Military Museum.

Members of the Petawawa Business Advisory Network (PBAN) attend the Food Basics Grand Opening on July 15th, 2024.
