On July 19th, 2024, Ontario Parks says all parks that normally charges a day-use fee will open for FREE entry. Although day use is free, it's important to reserve your spot in advance to guarantee access. Consider grabbing lunch at a Petawawa business or an overnight stay to maximize your trip to the community.

Youth Entrepreneur Market Returns August 16, 2024

Youth Vendor Applications Open

The Town of Petawawa summer camp program is running an Entrepreneur Camp in August. Students and youth can gather to sell their products as part of their own entrepreneurial endeavors or where they can raise money for local causes close to their hearts.

The market will take place on Friday, August 16th from noon - 4 pm at the Petawawa Container Market location at 16 Civic Centre in the front parking lot by Rotary ball field and the mini putt location.

Participation is FREE but is subject to approved registration.

Where to buy alcohol in Petawawa during LCBO strike

The province has launched an interactive map based on licences issued by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

In Petawawa, there are three locations that sell alcohol, including one local producer, Dog House Brewing Company, located at 3477 Petawawa Boulevard. Other retail locations include The Beer Store at 3 Renfrew Street and Canex located at 14 Ypres Boulevard on base.

The LCBO’s website and mobile app will continue to accept orders for free home delivery anywhere in Ontario for the duration of the strike.

World Skydiving Day at Airborne Petawawa

World Skydiving Day took place July 13 with skydiving locations around the world - including Airborne Petawawa - participating in this world record opportunity. On World Skydiving Day, Airborne Petawawa soared to new heights by successfully completing 36 jumps, contributing to the ambitious world record. This achievement was highlighted on CTV News showcasing the dedication and skill of their team. Airborne Petawawa Manager Aria says, "We are incredibly proud of our team and the incredible effort put forth by everyone involved."
