Farm to Trail Ramble Event

A brand-new event as part of the Petawawa Ramble, Farm to Trail, is a brisk fall stroll along the Algonquin Trail while sampling freshly prepared local food and products from valley artisans. Tickets are $50 and participants get a commemorative side plate from Bumpy Roads Studios along with 12 gifts/tastes from the participating vendors. There will be music, a petting farm, and bouncy elements to enjoy along the way.

Veteran Business Expo


We will be celebrating our Veteran/Serving member businesses during the month of November! To kick off this celebration, and Veterans Week, we will be hosting a Veteran Business Expo on Sunday, November 5th from 10 am - 3 pm at the upstairs hall of the Civic Centre.


This will be a public event and we are seeking interested veteran/serving member businesses who wish to participate by selling and showcasing their products or services.

Fed Dev New Funding intake process for Southern Ontario

An easy-to-use application process helps you apply three times per year to available funds. The fall round of applications is due November 7th. They can offer no-interest, repayable contributions from $125,000 up to $10 million per project for incorporated businesses that:

a) develop, commercialize, or produce innovative products, processes, and services

b) improve productivity, capacity, and competitiveness

c) scale-up and expand to develop new business opportunities, enter new markets, or reach new customers

The Labour Market Group of Renfrew and Lanark, greatly value your input and continuously strive to provide better local labour market insights and solutions. To achieve this, we would like to invite you to participate in our annual Employer Pulse Survey. Through the 2022 survey, they gathered valuable insights such as the following:

·    74% of employers had difficulty hiring.

·    64% posted a position more than once due to a limited number of applicants.

·    58% of employers lost their staff to competitors.
