Seeking Host Companies!
Veteran Internship Program
Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation (AAWDC) is excited to announce the Veterans Internship Program (VIP) as part of their Military Corps Career Connect (C3) initiative.

Through VIP, transitioning service members will be offered and can select internships, from qualified, local businesses (emphasis on IT, INTEL, Cyber and, HR careers) for a mutually agreed upon period of time (typically 4-12 weeks). Participants will obtain new skills and hands-on experience in a field of their choosing. They will gain knowledge of the civilian workforce and the intricacies that come with working outside the military. Participants that complete the internship will be guaranteed an interview with the host company. VIP is an Army’s Career Skills Program (CSP). CSPs prepare service members for civilian employment through apprenticeships, on-the-job training, job shadowing, internships and employment skills training.

AAWDC is seeking host companies to partner with VIP. Host businesses must: 1) be within 50 miles of Ft. Meade; 2) have open positions on a regular basis; 3) be committed to the possibility of long-term employment opportunities to qualified candidates; 4) be in "good standing" with the State of Maryland and 5) demonstrate a work place environment that bridges the military-civilian culture.
For more information on VIP or how your company can become one our host companies, please contact:
