The event attracted a large crowd where 1349 job seekers interviewed on the spot.

National Workforce

Development Month

Each September, states across the country join efforts to celebrate National Workforce Development Month and recognize the contributions of workforce professionals who provide critical links to support job seekers and employers.

This year, the Madera County Board of Supervisors joined with the Workforce Development Board of Madera County to present a proclamation designating the month of September as Workforce Development Month and honor all individuals in Workforce Development organizations and partnerships who play such a vital role in our economy.

Workforce Development Professional’s Day

Workforce Development Month raises awareness about the importance of the workforce industry, the impact workforce programs have on local communities, and the value workforce services bring to the local economy.

Staff celebrated Workforce Development Professionals Day on Friday, September 13, and were honored to have Board members stop by to celebrate this day with us.

Local and Regional Workforce Plans

The Workforce Development Board of Madera County's Local and Regional Workforce Plans serve as strategic guides for addressing the workforce needs of Madera County and the broader region. These plans outline the board's goals, priorities, and collaborative efforts to build a skilled, adaptable workforce that meets the needs of local employers while also helping job seekers achieve sustainable employment.

A total of three Local Plan forums were held on October 9th, 29th, and 30th. Great feedback and suggestions were attained from local businesses and partners.

A special thanks to all attendees!
