MADERA JOB FAIR

The Workforce Development Board of Madera County is excited to announce that the 2025 Madera County Job Fair, held on April 3rd, at the Madera Fairgrounds was a success! The event brought together a significant number of job seekers and employers, providing opportunities for growth and employment within our community.

We welcomed over 40 employers representing a diverse range of industries from manufacturing to healthcare, transportation, education and government agencies. Over 700 job seekers attended the event to explore new jobs and career paths.

The event was covered by ABC30 news. The job fair provided a unique platform for local job seekers to connect with employers from Madera County and the Central Valley Region. Additionally, we would like to express sincere gratitude to our local Madera Walmart and Lowes for their generous support through their kind donations.

LOCAL HOSPITAL RE-OPENING

MADERA HOSPITAL REOPENS, TRANSFORMING CARE

Madera Community Hospital reopened March 18, 2025, after a two-year closure due to financial challenges. The reopening, celebrated by local leaders and healthcare advocates, restores healthcare services to the Madera area.

Now under the management of American Advanced Management, the hospital received $57 million in funding through the Distressed Hospital Loan Program. Local leaders and healthcare advocates highlighted the reopening's positive impact on the community's health and well-being.

The hospital's return is seen as a significant victory for Madera and its surrounding areas. The focus is now on providing essential healthcare services, improving facilities and equipment, and rebuilding the hospital's labor force.
