2022 Staff Performance Evaluations

Completion Deadline is March 3, 2023

The 2022 performance evaluations are now available in the online PE system for main/academic campus staff and supervisors. Note: If you experience difficulty accessing the PE system in Internet Explorer, it should work properly using the Chrome web browser.

The deadline for the completion of 2022 PEs is Friday, March 3, 2023. For new employees who started on or after October 1, evaluations are not required. However, supervisors may complete PEs for new employees if they wish to do so.

Please note the following information and important deadlines

This video provides step-by-step instructions for completing your self-evaluation.
Though the self-evaluation is optional for some areas, all employees must submit the form (even if blank) to their supervisors through the online PE system to move the process forward.
We understand performance evaluations can be a stressful process for some. We have a self evaluation toolkit to help you prepare.

Update requests are due to HR Compensation by Friday, December 23, to guarantee the changes appear in the 2022 PE.
College of Medicine updates may be made through the Employee Service Specialist team.
It may be helpful when preparing your self-evaluation to review your past performance evaluations. To access previous PEs, follow this guide.

2022 Campus PE important dates

Friday, December 23

Deadline to submit updates of position descriptions to guarantee they are reflected in the 2022 PE.

Friday, March 3

Deadline for completing online performance evaluations.

If you have questions about the 2022 PEs, you can view the performance management website or email at LearningandPerformance@uky.edu.

FAST Program Compliance Information

We are writing with a reminder to encourage your teams to check in with mandatory participants enrolled in the FAST program. Requirements for mandatory participation in the FAST program can be found on our website.

We are less than 30 days from our next compliance deadline for the FAST program on December 31, 2022. By this deadline, participants should complete at least two additional FAST courses.

Please help us by:

Encouraging enrollment: submitting enrollment requests and removal requests as necessary
Reminding supervisors that it is their responsibility to confirm compliance and put corrective action in place for those that have not complied
Prompting those enrolled in your area to complete their training by December 31, 2022

To check your employee’s progress toward completion, log in to myUK and access myUK Learning through the myUK Employee Self Service tab. Then follow the steps below: /

Select the Learning tile
Select “My Team” at the top
Your direct reports will populate on the left
An exclamation icon below a name indicates incomplete or past due activities
Select a direct report’s name to view their assigned training

Holiday Schedule

The University of Kentucky observes the following holidays, except where continuous service is essential, in accordance with UK Human Resources Policies and Procedures #83.0 – Holiday Leave. In order to qualify for university holiday leave, including Christmas and New Year’s Day, an employee must be in a paid status the scheduled days before and the day after the holiday. Please refer to HRP&P #83.0 for detailed information regarding holiday leave.
