Deadlines for Employee Tuition Benefits
|
|
Deadlines for submitting your Employee Education Program or Family Education Program forms in order to receive tuition benefits are as follows for the upcoming semesters:
- Summer 2022: May 18, 2022
- Fall 2022: August 26, 2022
- Winter 2022: December 19, 2022
- Spring 2023: January 13, 2023
These are firm deadlines that are observed to ensure the University can provide the tuition benefit for yourself or your family member.

Information Technology Services

Information Technology Services (ITS), in partnership with Microsoft, is offering free training, certification prep, and certification exams through the Microsoft Enterprise Skills Initiative (ESI). ESI is available to all UK students, faculty, and staff with linkblue credentials.
What is offered in ESI?
- Free virtual trainings (on-demand and instructor led) on Azure, Microsoft's public cloud computing platform.
- Free certification exams and prep courses.
- Microsoft Learn Cloud Games, a fun new learning environment where you can play cyber detective.
This offer could go away without your participation! Visit esi.microsoft.com now and log in with your UK credentials to make an account. ITS needs help to meet our goal of 200 training sessions attended and 50 certifications completed by June 30.

Vacation and Leave Time
for Our Campus Community

As announced on Friday, March 18, 2022 by President Capilouto highlights of leave time extensions are as follows:
For Staff Employees
- If you are a campus staff employee and your vacation leave time is set to expire on June 30, 2022, that will be extended to December 31, 2022.
- For the campus employee, vacation time set to expire on June 30, 2023, will be extended to September 30, 2023.
For Faculty Employees
- Like last year, a separate process managed by the colleges will be considered for faculty vacation leave.

Year-End Purchasing Memo for
FY 2021-22
|
|
The Year-End Purchasing Memo for FY 2021-22 has been published and is available on the UFS website. The memo contains deadlines and related information for processing of purchasing transactions throughout the remainder of the current fiscal year. A larger document, FY 21-22 Closing Schedule, is also on the UFS website and will encompass all business transaction types for the entire University.
Help documents and guides related to year-end closing are also available on the website. University employees must login using their LinkBlue ID and then navigate to the appropriate location for needed documents. A document for End of Fiscal Year Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) can be found via the Internal Resources tile. Reports ZMM_BA_RPT (Business Analysis Report) and Z_MMEKPO (Open PO Report) are available within SAP to assist with reviewing purchase orders or open encumbrances. Help guides for these are available through the Learning and Training Resources tile, SRM Quick Reference Cards link.
For goods and services physically received during the current fiscal year, the most important factor is that Goods Confirmations are created in a timely manner as outlined in the Year-End Memo. Otherwise, the purchase order will transfer to FY 22-23 funds. Review and closing of open/unused encumbrances is also key to year-end best practices.
