AREA BRE Hosts Tour of Torc Robotics

AREA BRE and Torc Robotics welcomed guests from UNM Engineering, CNM Workforce and economic development partners to assist with workforce development. Torc has had much success since locating their testing facility Albuquerque. Staff has doubled in 2021 and is set to do so again in 2022. Torc has test driven over 66,500 robotic miles with zero citations, DOT recordable accidents, lost-time injuries or medically treated injuries. Torc Robotics offers wonderful employee benefits and they are hiring!

When asked why the company chose Albuquerque, a Torc employee said, "There is great access to highways, great access to mountains.  I-40 is a heavily traveled freight highway for rigorous testing and New Mexico is autonomous-friendly state."

“Our decision to stay in New Mexico was not based solely on incentives, but on the expertise of the state and local team, your leaders, and the ability to move quickly and partner with us for everyone’s success. That has stuck with me,” Alstate Steel President Jeff Wallis said. “The culture that I have always expressed in my companies is to care about our clients.”
