City of Milpitas – Office of Economic Development
 Business Survey
Dear Business Representatives,

This is unquestionably the most challenging time Milpitas businesses have experienced since the Great Recession. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Office of Economic Development has re-prioritized its mission. Our immediate priority is providing business representatives with important information and employer resources for businesses, employees, and non-profits in order to mitigate the COVID-19-related loss of business. Our focus is now on continuity of Milpitas business operations and recovery.

In order to best support your business, please take a few minutes to fill out this survey so we can best identify your most pressing needs and respond to the Milpitas business community accordingly.

We would also like you to know the City Council recently established an Economic Development Council Subcommittee to explore small business loan and relief programs, and other assistance from higher levels of government including Federal, State and County. You are invited to join us for the next Economic Development Council Subcommittee meeting, which is scheduled for Monday, April 6, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. via Zoom. Agenda and participation details can be found here .

Although our team is working remotely, we are accessible by e-mail and have revamped our Economic Development “Milpitas Innovates” website with helpful and up-to-date information, and direct links to the resources you are likely to need to weather these times. To access this information, please visit www.MilpitasInnovates.com

While the long-term effects of the COVID-19 pandemic are yet to be determined, its initial impact on the economic, civic and social viability of our businesses is clear. We will work together to get through this difficult period.

In community spirit,
Alex
