This is unquestionably the most challenging time Milpitas businesses have experienced since the Great Recession. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Office of Economic Development has re-prioritized its mission. Our immediate priority is providing business representatives with important information and employer resources for businesses, employees, and non-profits in order to mitigate the COVID-19-related loss of business. Our focus is now on continuity of Milpitas business operations and recovery.

We would also like you to know the City Council recently established an Economic Development Council Subcommittee to explore small business loan and relief programs, and other assistance from higher levels of government including Federal, State and County.
