Revitalizing Main Street: Conversation on Business on Thursday, April 29 at 6 pm

In partnership with local nonprofit CatalyzeSV, the City of Milpitas will be facilitating three Community Conversations on Revitalizing Main Street, each revolving around a different aspect of the future of Main Street. The first meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 29, from 6-8 pm. The conversation is focused on the business community including – How do we keep, support, and expand Main Street businesses to encourage economic development throughout the neighborhood?

Next and Final Round of the California Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant

Don’t miss this upcoming deadline to apply for Round 6 of the CA Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant, which gives eligible businesses grants ranging from $5,000-$25,000. For more information on eligibility criteria and to find a lender, visit their website.
Round 6: Wednesday, April 28th at 9:00 am through Tuesday, May 4th at 5:00 pm

Eligible applicants: current waitlisted small businesses and/or nonprofits not selected in Rounds 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 and new applicants that meet eligibility criteria.
- Notifications will begin Friday, May 7th

Details: Applicants not selected to receive a grant in Rounds 1, 2, 3 & 5 do not need to re-apply and will be automatically moved into Round 6. New applicants will need to apply at CAReliefGrant.com

Santa Clara County Commercial Eviction Moratorium Extended
|
|
The Santa Clara County commercial eviction moratorium has been extended through June 30, 2021. Small business tenants in both incorporated and unincorporated areas of the County have up to 6 months after the moratorium expires or terminates to repay at least 50% of the past-due rent, and up to 12 months after the moratorium expires or terminates to repay in full the past-due rent. Small business representatives can view this page for eligibility requirements, necessary paperwork to show substantial loss of income or out-of-pocket for medical expenses due to COVID-19, and more information including FAQ’s.
